Ear Care Workshop

Description

This workshop has been developed for health care professionals working in primary care planning to deliver ear care management.

Who it is aimed at: General Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Prison Nurses, Treatment Room Nurses, Health Care Assistants/ Practitioners.

Learning outcomes:

  • review the relevant anatomy and physiology of the ear
  • discuss the professional issues surrounding ear care management
  • explain the principles of ear irrigation– recognising correct technique, procedure and the management of such an intervention
  • identify the difficulties and complications associated with undertaking ear irrigation
  • demonstrate the ability to perform the ear irrigation technique within a simulated environment
