The team will then send you a CPD application form in which you must detail your qualifications in optometry and details of any experience you have in practice. Once the team have assessed your completed CPD application form they will ask you to make the appropriate payment for the course. The course runs from the UCLan Preston campus and is led by Rupal Lovell-Patel, the Academic Lead for Vision Sciences at the University. Rupal is a registered Optometrist committed to raising the standards of professional practice and education within the optometric community. After graduating from University of Bradford and undertaking registration as an Optometrist, she returned to academia in Bradford as a Clinical Demonstrator. In 2002, Rupal moved to Cambridge to join Anglia Ruskin University where she was a Principal Lecturer and Director of Clinics until 2018 when she moved to UCLan. Alongside her teaching and management roles within UCLan, she is a College of Optometrists Examiner for the Final Assessment of the Scheme for Registration (OSCE); a Principal Fellow for the Higher Education Academy and is the Vice-President of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics. |
