Description

This three day progressive course will be led by Andy Cumpstey, a doctor, member of the UCLan Mountain Medicine teaching team and Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor.

This course is designed for prospective / current PGDip Mountain Medicine students and alumni who are confident seconding trad climbs but want to gain more confidence and skills to be start leading climbs with traditionally placed protection.

Urgent Medical Care Certificate (UMeCC)

Description

Course for health professionals delivering urgent care in a rural setting or in an urban area where access to hospital care is restricted.  Course is delivered as a combination of online content followed by a 2-day weekend of scenario-based learning, usually based at our Westlakes Campus in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

Course starts with an introductory webinar and continues online with videoed lectures and case based discussions in our virtual learning environment that students access at their own pace.  It culminates approximately 10 weeks later with the 2 day weekend of scenario based learning.
