This course is both a Civil Mediation Council (CMC) Registered Training Course and International Mediation Institute (IMI) Certified Mediation Training Program.

In this popular training, delegates will discuss the appropriateness of mediation for the resolution of civil and commercial disputes, will be taught the dynamics of human behaviour and equipped with various techniques for facilitating mediations in ways that prevent conflicts from escalating.

You will learn how to build rapport, enhance your listening and communication skills, consider some fascinating theories of conflict, the role of negotiation in a dispute and guide parties to settle their dispute. As an extremely interactive course, practising the skills takes priority, which is fun but also enables you to feel ready for the final day's assessment or real-life situations.

discuss the role of law in the context of mediation, ethical issues in mediation, how to deal with impasses, as well as to use interest-based negotiations in getting a settlement agreement
